Film Review: Alfred Hitchcock’s “Shadow Of A Doubt” (1943)

Charlie is a young woman bored with life. To shake things up, she convinces her Mom to let their estranged Uncle Charlie come stay with the family for a while. The young woman is excited to meet the charming Uncle she is named after, but once two investigators come around and start asking questions, she finds that Uncle Charlie may not be who they think he is! He may be a man wanted for multiple murders!
I enjoyed this chilling film from the master himself. The performances by Teresa Wright and Joseph Cotten were outstanding. I see why this film was nominated for an Oscar.

3.5 out of 4.0 stars.
