Film Reviews: “Blue Sunshine” (1978)

Image

“What is blue sunshine?”  A: A drug that causes sudden insanity, and baldness, about 10 years after you take it. B: A mediocre film.

So about a decade after this drug was secretly passed around by some college students, the side effects show up in random people, and Jerry our lead, begins investigating. This film has some tense moments, but mostly it was slow and un-explanatory. There’s a caution at the beginning which says that “Blue Sunshine” is rated X. I still have no idea why. The film contains no nudity or much blood at all. Strange to get you excited or concerned for nothing. Should have been better.
